June 17 - July 11
Guilford Lane Gallery
6pm June 17 - Festival opening event and
visual art exhibition with works from:
Ardi Gunawan
Jordan Marani
Louise Paramor
Brie Trenerry
Curated by Mark McDean
A ‘subtle’ intervention of the gallery space has been the impetus for five Melbourne based artists to create a dynamic response to establishing a cultural approach to sustainability. A somewhat challenging exhibition brief enables each artist to consider both concept and construction of their three dimensional works. A wide ranging interpretation of the exhibition brief allows each artist to consider the wider socio environmental issues relating to their practice.
The festival and exhibition will be opened Guy Abrahams, Al Gore Climate Change speaker.
Unfortunately due to scheduling conflict, artists talks on Thursday the 24th at 2pm are canceled. We apologise for any inconvenience.

If you are traveling from the North of the City and heading for City Square then use the great bike routes along Canning Street, Swanston and Georges road/Brunswick street.
If you are heading in to the city from the South then follow the bike routes either straight up St Kilda road which at the weekends are very enjoyable and not too busy or come in via the sea front and West Gate Park and through Port Melbourne.
